Description:
The GAIT Analysis Project involved my group and I to analyze walking patterns of individuals, also known as gait. Using an Iphone app, we were able to measure movements in a three dimensional plane while a person walked. Using this data, we plotted graphs and visual representations to analyze and distinguish between an individual's gait. This project was an introduction to data collection and analysis.

The Gait Analysis project was an important learning experience for my group and I. We encountered only one problem throughout the course of our project, being that our data was randomly deleted off our shared Google Sheets. This set us back one class period because we had to remeasure all of our data using the data collecting app. Our team worked flawlessly and had no issues working together. We set our own pace and collaborated when we needed to discuss data and analyze on the Google Doc. My team and I reached out to other groups when necessary such as when we had trouble formatting data columns on Google Sheets and when we had to construct graphs. Data and experimental restraints were minimal as we collected the data efficiently using the app and we were able to view the data in various graphs and visual models. This project was pretty straight forward with little to no obstacles for my group. I also learned alot of new, helpful information to help myself better analyze data for future projects. The Gait Analysis project was a great way to introduce ourselves to data analysis.
